Located just north of the Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay is a place of stunning natural beauty. The calm waters of the Great Sandy Straits are all that lie between it and world heritage listed Fraser Island, the southern Great Barrier Reef, and the coral bay of Lady Elliot Island.

Getting There
Akama Resort is a picturesque 2.5 hour drive from the Sunshine Coast, or a 3.5 hour drive from Brisbane (via the Bruce Highway).
Queensland Rail runs a high speed train service between Brisbane and Far North Queensland. The closest station to Akama Resort is Maryborough, from which the resort is a 36km bus journey.
